National School of Drama, invites applications on plain paper for the following post:

Pay range : 40,000-45,000 per Month. In addition to normal entitlement, the other benefits are permissible as applicable to the artist of Repertory Co. and TIE Co. of NSD.
Essential Qualification :
1. Graduate of National School of Drama or a recognized Theatre Training Institute or a degree/ diploma in education/child development/psychology from a recognized Institution and having long experience of acting, designing, composing music, writing and teaching or working with children in theatre.
2. Ability to relate to children.
Preferable:
** Knowledge of Dance, Music and allied arts.
** Experience in direction of plays and stagecraft work.
** Experience of non-formal teaching.
Age: 20 -35 Years
The appointment is on contractual basis, initially for one year only, may be extended up-to maximum of 5 years on the basis of the periodic assessment. Application complete in all respects, accompanied by a recent passport size photograph and attested copies of certificates and testimonials, proof of age etc, should reach the

The age limit prescribed as above shall be reckoned as on 01/07/2017. Persons already in service should send their applications through proper channel. No TA/DA will be paid by the school for attending the interview.
However, SC/ST candidates will be paid 2nd Class railway/bus fare by the shortest route from their place to New Delhi and back, on submission of railway/bus receipt for travelling.

The National School of Drama is one of the foremost theatre training institutions in the world and the only one of its kind in India. It was set up by the Sangeet Natak Akademi as one of its constituent units in 1959.
