Post of Police Constable Driver, Peon, Mess Servant, Tailor, Police Constable (Armed Police),Dhobi,Barber in India Reserve Battalion and Goa Police Department by Direct Recruitment

The Applications in prescribed form are invited from eligible candidates for filling up of the below mentioned vacant posts by direct recruitment in Goa Police Department and 1st, 2nd and 3rd India Reserve Battalions:

GOA POLICE DEPARTMENT
I. 1. Designation of post : Police Constable Driver (Grade-III)
2. Number of posts : 31
3. Pay Band & Grade Pay : Pay Band -1 & 5200-20200 + Grade Pay & 1900
4. Qualifications :
1. Secondary School Certificate Examination or equivalent qualification.
2. Height – 165 cms.
3. Chest – 78.74 cms. (unexpanded) and 83.80 cms. (expanded)
4. Valid driving licence for Heavy/Light vehicles,
5. Two years experience as Driver with unblemished record.
6. Knowledge of Konkani.
7. Age 18 to 25 years as on the closing date for receipt of Application Forms i.e. 20.10.2016 (born between 21.10.1991 and 20.10.1998 both dates inclusive). (Relaxable upto 5 years for Government servants)

II. 1. Designation of post : Peon
2. Number of posts & : 01 (one)
3. Pay Band & Grade Pay : Pay Band – 4440-7440+ Grade Pay & 1300/-
4. Qualifications :
1. Middle School or equivalent qualification preferably in English.
2. Not exceeding 45 years as on the closing date for receipt of Application Forms i.e. 20.10.2016 (born between 21.10.1971 and 20.10, 1998 both dates inclusive).
3. Knowledge of Konkani.

III. 1. Designation of post : Mess Servant
2. Number of posts & : 03 (three)
3. Pay Band & Grade : Pay Band – 4440-7440+ Grade Pay & 1300
4. Qualifications :
1. Should be literate.
2. Practical Experience in the line preferably in any hotel of repute.
3. Not exceeding 45 years as on the closing date for receipt of Application Forms i.e. 20.10.2016 (born between 21.10.1971 and 20.10.1998 both dates inclusive).
4. Knowledge of Konkani.

IV. 1. Designation of post : Tailor
2. Number of posts & : 01 (one) (Advertised for 3rd time) reservation Ex-Serviceman – 01
3. Pay Band & Grade Pay : Pay Band -1 R 5200-20200 + Grade Pay R 1900
4. Qualifications .
1. I.T.I. Certificate in the relevant Trade from a recognized Institute.
2. Not exceeding 45 years as on the closing date for receipt of Application Forms i.e. 20.10.2016 (born between 21.10.1971 and 20.10.1998 both dates inclusive).
3. Knowledge of Konkani.

INDIA RESERVE BATTALIONS
I. 1. Designation of post : Police Constable (Armed Police)
2. Number of posts & : 221
3. Pay Band & Grade Pay : Pay Band -1 & 5200-20200 + Grade Pay R 1900
4. Qualifications :
1. Secondary School Certificate Examination or equivalent qualification.
2. Age 18 to 23 years as on the closing date for receipt of Application Forms i.e. 20.10.2016 (born between 21.10.1993 and 20.10.1998 both dates inclusive).
3. Knowledge of Konkani

(Male candidates)
4. Minimum height of 168 cms.
5. Chest: unexpanded – 80 cms and expanded – minimum expansion – 5 cms.
6. Should undergo and qualify in Physical Efficiency Test as follows:-
i. One mile Race to be completed in 6% minutes.
ii. Long Jump – 3.30 metres (3 chances)
iii. High Jump – 1.05 metres (3 chances)

(Female candidates)
4. Minimum height of 160 cms.
5. Weight not less than 45 kgs.
6. Should undergo and qualify in Physical Efficiency Test as follows:-
i. 800 metres Run in 4 minutes.
ii. Long Jump – 2.70 metres (3 chances)
iii. High Jump – 0.90 metres (3 chances)

II. 1. Designation of post : Barber
2. Number of posts : 03 (three)
3. Pay Band & Grade Pay : Pay Band -1 & 5200-20200 + Grade Pay & 1900
4. Qualifications :
1. IV Standard or equivalent.
2. Practical experience in any licensed saloon.
3. Not exceeding 45 years as on the closing date for receipt of Application Forms i.e. 20.10.2016.
4. Knowledge of Konkani.

III. 1. Designation of post : Dhobi
2. Number of posts & : 01 (one)
3. Pay Band & Grade Pay : Pay Band -1 & 5200-20200 + Grade Pay R 1900
4. Qualifications
1. Should be literate.
2. 03 years practical experience in any licensed laundry.
3. Not exceeding 45 years as on the closing date for receipt of Application Forms i.e. 20.10.2016
4. Knowledge of Konkani.

The candidates possessing the above mentioned qualifications/documents as on 20.10.2016 and possessing 15 years Residence Certificate (valid) issued by the Competent Authority, Government of Goa, may submit their Applications to the Superintendent of Police, Police Headquarters, Panaji-Goa in the prescribed Application Form.

The prescribed Application Forms are available at Goa Police Welfare Society, Administrative Block, GRP Camp, Altinho, Panaji-Goa, which can be collected between 09.30 hours to 17.30 hours on all working days.

The Application Forms completed in all respects should be personally submitted by the candidate at the counter opened to accept the application forms at Police Headquarters, Panaji-Goa on or before 20.10.2016.

The candidates should produce Passing Certificate of the educational qualification prescribed for the post (not mark list) and Caste/Category Certificate (valid) and other documents at the counter while submitting the application form for verification without which application form will not be accepted.

Incomplete Application Forms, Application Forms received after 20.10.2016 and Applications not in prescribed Form will be summarily rejected and no intimation will be sent to the applicants in this regard.

The candidates should minutely go through all the provisions in the advertisement to ensure that he/she is eligible for the posts in terms of requirement of age, educational qualification, experience etc. and only eligible candidates may apply in the prescribed Application Form.

The Application Form and Examination Fee for various categories of candidates is as under. The Application Form and Examination Fee paid by the candidate is not refundable:
1. General Category – * 200/-
2. SC/ST/OBC/Ex-Serviceman/PWD/CFF – * 100/-

The candidates working in Government Departments/Offices should apply through proper channel in prescribed Application Form only. These Application Forms should also be submitted at the counter opened to accept the application forms at Police Headquarters, Panaji-Goa on or before 20.10.2016.

The Application Forms received after 20.10.2016 will be summarily rejected and no intimation will be sent to the applicants in this regard.
