EMPANELMENT OF SAFETY ENGINEERS/SAFETY OFFICERS AND DIPLOMA HOLDERS FOR ENGAGEMENT IN FEDO PROJECT SITES AND IN DRAFTING/ESTIMATION, ON CONTRACT BASIS

FACT Engineering and Design Organization (FEDO), a Division of Fertilizers And Chemicals Travancore Limited, Udyogamandal (A Government of India Enterprise) proposes to Empanel Safety Engineers/Safety Officers and Diploma Holders in Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Instrumentation Engineering on contract basis for Project Management Services for Drafting/Estimation and Site Supervision.

1. Essential Educational Qualification:
1.1 Safety Engineer: Graduate in Fire and Safety Engineering from a recognized University/Institute.
1.2 Safety Officer: Graduate in Science/Diploma in Technology/Engineering with Diploma in Industrial Safety from a recognized Indian Institute.
1.3 Draftsman/Supervisor: – Diploma in respective Engineering discipline – Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation.
Minimum % of Marks: 55% in aggregate (50% for SC/ST/PWD candidates). Wherever CGPA/OGPA or letter grade is awarded, the candidate shall have to indicate the equivalent percentage of marks.

2. Age as on 01- 03 – 2017 :
35 years maximum (i.e. shall be born on or after 01-03-1982). SC/ ST, OBC and PWD candidates will be given age relaxation of 5 years, 3 years and 10 years respectively. Age relaxation for ex-servicemen shall be as per Government directives. Relaxation shall be based only on relevant certificates evidencing such eligibility.

3. Experience as on 01- 03- 2017 :
3.1 Safety Engineer/Safety Officer
Minimum two years relevant post qualification experience.

3.2 Draftsman/ Supervisor
Minimum two years relevant post qualification experience in Drafting/ Estimating, Project, Construction, Inspection & Planning from a Construction/ Design Organization or an established Company. Successfully completed relevant Apprenticeship training will also be considered as experience.

Experience shall be counted as on 01-03-2017, supported by experience certificate.
The candidate should have knowledge and experience in AUTOCAD drafting, to be considered for Drafting/Estimation.

4. Method of Selection :
The suitability of candidates will be assessed based on Walk-in-Interview.

Remarks : Report with documents in original and one set of attested copies

Candidate shall produce all credentials and certificates in original with self-attested copies, to prove age, qualification and experience at the time of attending the Walk-in-interview.

SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/PWD/Ex-service candidates shall produce Caste/Community/Disability/Release certificates from the competent authority in the prescribed format, in original with self-attested copies. Relaxations, eligibility, TA etc. shall be based on such certificates only.

Caste certificate is to be issued by competent authority not below the rank of Tahsildhar in the case of SC/ST/OBC candidates and Disability certificate issued by a Government Medical Board in case of PWD candidates.

Candidate shall be empanelled in one or both lists for Project Sites and Drafting/Estimation considering their relevant experience in the particular field.

5. Remuneration :
5.1 Safety Engineer:
Consolidated monthly salary of Rs.25, 000/- for Graduate Engineer with minimum 2 years’ experience, plus Rs. 1,200/- per year for additional years of experience, limited to Rs.28, 600/-

5.2 Safety Officer:
Consolidated monthly salary of Rs.18000/ for minimum 2 years experience plus Rs.800/- per year for additional years of experience, limited to Rs. 20,000/-.

5.3 Draftsman/ Supervisor
Consolidated monthly salary of Rs.18000/- for minimum 2 years experience plus Rs.800/- per year for additional years of experience, limited to Rs. 20,000/-.

Selected candidates are liable to be posted anywhere in India. For assignments exceeding one-month above 100 KM from HQ, Project allowance of Rs.4500/- per month shall be applicable in addition to the monthly salary mentioned above.

Free furnished Bachelor accommodation and transport facilities at sites shall be provided, if available. If boarding is provided by FEDO at site, the Project allowance mentioned above shall be limited to Rs 1500/- per month.

The appointment shall normally be for one particular project or for a period of six months to two years initially. If extension of service is required, a fresh appointment order for the extended contract period will be given. Extension shall be given only if the performance of the candidate is found to be satisfactory.

TA/DA for Official tour shall be as per rules applicable to contract engagement in FEDO.
