General Duty Medical Officer :

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for appointment to the post of General Duty Medical Officer, Medical Officer (Homoeopathy) & Medical Officer (Ayurveda) in the Directorate of Health Services purely on short time Contract Basis for a period of six months or till filling up of the Post on regular Basis whichever is earlier.

The applications along with testimonials indicating educational qualification, experience, age proof etc. should reach to the Directorate of Health Services on or before 25th day of February, 2017 positively in the prescribed format annexed to this notice.

Educational qualification :
Essential :
(i) A recognized Medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (Other than Licentiate Qualifications) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of Section 13 of the IMC Act, 1956.
(ii) Compulsory rotation internship.
Desirable : At least one year experience.

Name of the post : Medical Officer (Homoeopathy)
Number of posts : 02 (Two)
Age limit : Not exceeding 35 Years
Educational qualification :
Essential :
(1) Degree in Homoeopathy of Recognized University / Statutory State board/ Council or Equivalent Recognized under the Homoeopathic Central Council Act,1973 (59 of 1973)
(2) Enrolment on the Central Register of Homoeopathy or a State Register of Homoeopathy.
Desirable : At least one year experience.

Name of the post : Medical Officer (AYURVEDA)
Number of posts : 01 (One)
Age limit : Not exceeding 35 Years
Educational qualification :
Essential :
(1) A Degree in Ayurveda of Recognized University / Statutory State board/ Council/Faculty of Indian Medicine recognized under the Indian Medical Central Council Act, 1970 (48 of 1970).
(2) Registration on the Central Register or State Register of Indian Medicine.
Desirable : At least one year experience.

The eligible willing candidates may submit their applications in the prescribed format downloaded from Administration’s website andaman.gov.in to the Directorate of Health Services, A & N Administration, Port Blair 744101 in a sealed envelop superscribing “Application for the Post of General Medical Officer/ Medical Officer (Homoeopathy)/ Medical Officer (Ayurveda)” on or before 25.02.2017 by 3.00 p.m.

No applications will be entertained after the stipulated date. The date of walk-in- interview will be published later on in the leading Newspaper of this Island.
