Department of electronics and Information Technology (DeitY) has sponsored a scheme entitled “Scheme of Financial Assistance for setting up of Electronics and ICT Academies”.

The objective of the above scheme is to conduct faculty development programmes/workshops in seven (07) Electronics and ICT Academies established in IITs, NITs, IIITs etc.

The main aim of Electronics and ICT Academy is to provide specialized training to the faculties of Engineering, Arts, Commerce & Science colleges, Polytechnics etc, by developing state-of-the-art facilities.

The Scheme has been approved on 14.11.2014. NIT, Warangal is identified one of the Academies of Category A under this scheme.

NIT, Warangal is looking for dynamic capable System Administrator who can create value proposition to set up, maintain and manage various physical and software systems as per the needs of the Electronics & ICT Academy.

The following are minimum essential prerequisites for the post of System Administrator.
** Diploma in ECE/CSE/IT area(s).

** Minimum 12 years practical experience in System Administration, Networking and computing environment setup such as Windows 2003, Windows 7/8/10, Linux, Maintenance of web server, Video conferencing setup, configuring networking switches

Duration:
2 years. The candidate can be evaluated at any time in the 1 year of appointment for continuation in the position. There is also a possibility of the extension of the duration. This post is purely temporary only to look after the systems of E&ICT Academy, NIT, Warangal.

Remuneration: Consolidated salary of Rs.50,000 per month

Job description:
To establish, manage and maintain various systems and laboratories in E&ICT Academy.

In addition, he/she should assist the Chair and Chief Investigator of the academy in all the E&ICT Academy project related activities at NIT, Warangal and perform any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.
