Recruitment of Assistant Professor :

Applications are invited from Indian Citizens in the prescribed forms for the Faculty positions of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in Applied Mathematics, English, Library and Information Science and Public Administration to be downloaded from the website..

Downloaded forms shall accompany with a Crossed Demand Draft of Rs. 1,000/- (Rs.75O/- for resenred categories) only from SBI drawn in favour of the Drawing and Disbursing Officer (DDO) of the MBB University for the posts mentioned above.

Applicants must have the minimum qualifications & experience as indicated in the advertisement against each post reflected in the website highereducation.tripura.gov.in.

Completed application in prescribed proforma along with self-attested photocopies of two sets of all credentials must reach the Office of the Officer-on-Special-Duty, MBB University by 3lst October, 2016.

In-service candidates shall apply through proper channel. No. TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview to be invited for the purpose. It should be noted that possession of minimum eligibility shall not confer any right to be called for interview. Incomplete applications will be rejected on scrutiny. Selection need not be confined to those who apply formally.

3. Library and Information Science:

4. Public Administration:
a. Professor (UR-1).
b. Associate Professor (UR-1, ST-1).
c. Assistant Professor (UR-1. ST-1).

Essential Qualification for the post of Professors:
A. (i) An eminent scholar with Ph. D. Qualification in the concerned lalliedl relevant discipline and published work of high quality actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books ar.d I or research papers.

(ii) A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college andlor experience in research at the University/National level institutions/industries including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level.

(iii) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technologr-mediated teaching learning process.

(iv) A minimum score of 400 points of APIs as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), as per UGC norms.
OR

B. An outstanding professional with established reputation in the relevant field who has made significant contributions to the knowledge in the concerned lalliedlrelevant discipline, to be substantiated by credentials.

Essential Qualifications for the post of Associate Professors:
(il Good academic record as defined by the University with a Ph. D. Degree in concerned/ allied/ relevant discipline.
(ii) A Master’s Degree with a least 55%o marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).

(iii) A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching arrd I or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/ industry excluding the period of Ph. D. Research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publications as books arrdl or research/policy papers.

(iv) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technologr-mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students.

(v) A minimum score of 300 points of APIs as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), as per UGC regulations.

Essential Qualification for the post of Assistant Professors:
i) Good academic record with at least 55% marks at Master’s Degree level in relevant subject or an equivalent degree from an Indian/Foreign University.

ii) NET/SLET/SET shall not be required for Masters Programmes in such disciplines also for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.
