JRF, Worker Recruitment :

Applications are invited on a plain paper (along with copies of educational qualifications and experience) from eligible candidates for selection for the following positions in the projects sanctioned to Dr. Sharmistha Banerjee, Department of Biochemistry, University of Hyderabad.

Project: “Understanding the role of Rev-Staufen interactions in regulating HIV-1 propagation by altering cytoplasmic mRNA-silencing foci and nuclear membrane architecture” (No. BT/PR12626/MED/29/915/2014)
Positions:
1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) @ Rs. 25,000 + 30% HRA per month
Qualification and experience: M.Sc, qualified national level competition, with at the least 3 yrs experience of handling cell cultures, HIV, Mycobacteria and training in working in BSL-2 & BSL-3 facilities are the essential requirements for the project. The work may involve field work and traveling for the same. Experience of handling fluorescent microscopy preferred.

2. Worker (Lab attendant) @ Rs 10,000 (consolidated) per month
Qualification and experience: Class XII pass, with 5 years of experience of working in HIV lab and proper disposal of biohazard wastes and biosfety maintenance in BSL-2 and BSL-3 culture facilities are the essential requirements for the project

Project: Identification and functional characterization of proteins from Mycobacterium tuberculosis targeting host-cell mitochondria and studying their role in pathogenesis (EMR/2015/001029)
Position:
3. Senior Technical Assistant @ Rs, 25,000 (Consolidated) per month
Qualification and experience: M.tech / M.Sc with at the least 2 yrs experience of handling HIV, Mycobacteria and cell culture. Experience of working with Zebra fish and experience of handling fluorescent microscopy preferred.

Please note:
Duration: All appointments are made for one year and can be extendible after review each year until the duration of the project
