Karnataka Teachers Eligibility Test :

The Govt. of Karnataka has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET) to the Centralised Admission Cell (CAC), Bangalore.

Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V:
Primary Stage – Paper – I
PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
OR
PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.
OR
B.A / B.Sc Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)

Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes VI- VIII:
Elementary Stage – Paper – II
B.A / B.Sc Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
OR
B.A / B.Sc Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
OR
PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A /B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed /B.Sc.Ed.
OR
B.A / B.Sc Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)*.

ONLINE’ SUBMISSION :
Candidates can apply ‘ON-LINE’ through KARTET’s website schooleducation.kar.nic.in. The candidate should provide all details while filling the Online Form and upload their scanned images of photograph & signature.

After successful submission of data, Candidates are required to take a print out of the computer generated Confirmation Page with Registration Number and address slip.

Candidates should pay the following fee:
Fees for KARTET-2016 Examination
CATEGORY Only Paper – I or II Both Paper – I & II
General, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B Groups Rs.500/- Rs.800/-
SC/ST/CI only Rs.250/- Rs.400/-
Fee exemption for Differently Abled Persons/Candidates
Service Charges of Rs: 10/- extra will be charged by the SBM

The fee can be remitted in the following way:
Through Computer generated Challan by depositing the prescribed fees in Cash to CAC Account with State Bank of Mysore.

Application Procedure:
Simple steps to be followed to apply through online.
STEP 1: Fill in the Online Application Form with “Registration” and “Login”
STEP 2: “Personal Details” & Generate Challan to pay examination Fee at SBM
STEP 3: Upload Scanned Images of Photograph and Signature
STEP 4: Download Confirmation page / Generate Application Form

The Candidate particulars can be edited before downloading the challan. Once the payment of fee has been made or the challan downloaded, candidate particulars cannot be edited at this stage. Thereafter corrections cannot be allowed.

In case the application of the candidate is not shown as received on KARTET website schooleducation.kar.nic.in after 17.10.2016, the candidate should approach the State Bank of Mysore, BANGALORE, through the Phone Number is given in the Fee paid Challan between 10:00 A.M to 2:00 P.M from 17-10-2016 to 11-11-2016. giving details of Application Number and Bank branch where the Fee paid.

The candidates may download his/her Admit Card from schooleducation.kar.nic.in KARTET website from 28.11.2016 onwards by using candidates “User Name and Password”

MODE OF SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION :
A candidate can apply for the Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test only through Online by logging on website schooleducation.kar.nic.in

Before submission of application form, make the following preparations:
while submitting his/her online application Candidate should have a scanned image of his latest photograph and signature in JPG format only, for uploading.

Decide the mode of payment of fee:
a) Through any branch of State Bank of Mysore directly in CAC Account with downloading the Challan Form from the KARTET website schooleducation.kar.nic.in

b) After Depositing Fee in the Bank the Deposit Slip bearing Application Registration Number, Name and Address of the Bank Branch with Branch Code and Pin Code where fee is deposited and transaction ID number be kept ready with you while logging on to website for final submission of Part-III of the Application Form.

Date for Submission of On-Line Application: 14.10.2016 to 09.11.2016
Last date for submission of On-line Application: 09.11.2016
Date of Examination: 18-12-2016 (Sunday)
