Assistant Professor Recruitment :

Applications are invited from Indian Citizens (and such other nationals as are declared eligible by Govt. of India) for recruitment to the following posts.

Posts: Assistant Professor in the various subjects in different Government-aided Teachers’ Training Colleges and Teachers’ Training Department of General Degree Colleges (except the Colleges administered by religious and linguistic minorities) in West Bengal.

Pay scale: Pay Band – Rs.15, 600-39,100/- plus Academic Grade Pay of Rs.6000/-

Qualifications for recruitment in Teachers’ Training Colleges and Teachers’ Training Department of General Degree Colleges:

I. For B.Ed. / M.Ed. Programme
A. Perspectives in Education or Foundation Courses
a) Master’s Degree in Science /Commerce/Arts with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed)
b) M.Ed. with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed); and

c) NET/SLET/SET passed qualification and exemption thereof (as given in the Note ii) and any other stipulation as prescribed by UGC/any such affiliating body/State Government.
[NET/SLET/SET passed qualification can be obtained either in Education or in the subject of Masters Degree].
OR
a) M.A.in Education with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed)
b) B.Ed. with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed); and
c) NET/SLET/SET passed qualification in Education and exemption thereof (as given in the Note ii) and any other stipulation as prescribed by UGC/any such affiliating body/State Government.

B. Curriculum and Pedagogic Course / Methodology Course
a) Master’s Degree in same or relevant subject with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed)
b) M.Ed. with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed); and
c) NET/SLET/SET passed qualification and exemption thereof (as given in Note ii) and any other stipulation as prescribed by UGC/any such affiliating body/State Government.
[NET/SLET/SET passed qualification can be obtained either in Education or in the subject of Master’s Degree].

C. Visual Arts
a) A Master?s Degree in Visual (Fine) Arts with minimum 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).
b) NET/SLET/SET passed qualification in Visual (Fine) Arts and exemption thereof (as given in Note ii) and any other stipulation as prescribed by UGC/any such affiliating body/State Government.
OR
A professional artist with highly commendable professional achievement in the concerned subject, who should have:
(a) First class Diploma in Visual (Fine) Arts discipline from the recognized Institution of India/abroad.
(b) Five years of experience of holding regular regional/National exhibitions/Workshops with evidence; and
(c) Ability to explain the logical reasoning of the subject concerned and adequate knowledge to teach theory with illustrations in that discipline.

II. For B.P.Ed. / M.P. Ed. Programme
a) Master’s Degree in Physical Education with minimum 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed)
b) NET/SLET/SET passed qualification in Physical Education and exemption thereof (as given in Note ii) and any other stipulation as prescribed by UGC/any such affiliating body/State Government.

(ii) NET/SLET/SET Exemption:
? The candidates who have been awarded Ph.D. Degree in the same or in a relevant subject in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, are exempted from qualifying in the Eligibility Test (NET/SLET/SET).

Age:
(a) The upper age limit is 37 (Thirty Seven) years on the 1st January, 2017 relaxable up to 5 years for
SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category(Non-creamy layer) candidates. Differently-abled candidates
(except in the post of Physical Education) are entitled to an age relaxation of 10 years. Age relaxation
of 5 years is available to the candidates possessing Doctorate Degree.

(b) However, for approved Part-time teachers (PTTs) and approved Contractual Whole-time teachers (CWTTs) as defined in the WBCSC Act, 2012, the upper age limit is 45 (Forty-five) years on the 1st January,2017, subject to the same principles and quantum of relaxation as mentioned above in clause 6 (a), which will be counted from the base level of 45 years for these two categories of candidates (PTTs and CWTTs).

(c) Exceptionally qualified over-aged candidates may be called for interview at the discretion of the College Service Commission in the rarest of cases.

But their recruitment will depend on the condonation of their over-age by the Government on a case-to-case basis, purely on merit, normally not exceeding one per cent of the total size of the concerned panel, rounded off to the next whole number.

Application Fee and Mode of Payment:
Fees Rs.1500/- for General candidates or Rs.750/- for SC/ST/OBC/Differently-abled Candidates. The candidates may pay the application fee either by credit card/ debit card/internet banking or through e- challan generated during the online submission of the application form.

In case of e-challan, the payment should be made at any Branch of the United Bank of India in India (Bank Charges Rs.40/- plus the service tax as applicable).

In case the application fee is paid through credit card/debit card/internet banking the additional processing charges as following will also be debited from the credit card /debit card/bank account of the candidate.

Credit card: 1.20% of the application fee plus the service tax as applicable.
Debit Card: 0.75% of application fee plus the service tax as applicable.
Internet Banking : Rs. 10/- per transaction plus the service tax as applicable.
Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

HOW TO APPLY :
1. Before applying, please be ready with scanned images of your photograph and signature ( see the instruction on photo/signature upload).

2. A valid e-mail ID and Mobile Number are mandatory for registration and email ID should be kept active for further communication at least till the counseling process is over. You are advised to read “Advertisement” and “How To Apply” carefully and then fill the online application form with utmost care as no correspondence regarding changes/modifications will be entertained later.

After going through above information, please click on “Click here to apply Online”

3. The main page shows each step to be followed. Perform the steps one by one to complete your online registration process. It’s a sequential process where the next step will only get activated after successful completion of the previous step. Therefore, please complete each step carefully and validate your candidature.

4. Please enter your details in the correct place and while entering data please follow the sequence of the registration form to get better output. Once the form is filled up, please save your details by clicking “Save” and after save your data successfully, click on ‘Upload Photograph & Signature Files’.

A new ‘Tab’ open for upload your photograph and signature as per the instructions and procedure given below and after uploading images, please verify the correctness/quality of images and go to the main page and click on ‘Preview’. If the details entered by you are correct, click on “Submit”.

5. Otherwise close the ‘Tab’ and Click on “Save” to modify your details and perform the action as mentioned in point 4.

6. Once you click on “Submit”(this submission explicitly indicates that no further changes/modification will be allowed), the system will save the data and register you. You will get a Registration No.and a Password for you.Please note it for future reference. The system will also send an email indicating your password. (So, be careful while entering your email id during filling up online application form)

7. You are now a registered candidate. Please visit the site examinationonline.in again and login with your registration Number and password to follow the instruction step wise.
Step 1: Pay Fees (Off-line Mode or Online Mode).
Step 2: Check Payment Status.
Step 3: Download Complete Application for Future Reference.

8. Mode of Fee Payment:
Clicking on ‘Pay Fees’, you will be directed to a page where two options would be available which are Off-line Mode and Online Mode .Please check your application fees and for payment choose either of the ‘Mode’.
