Educational qualification :
B.E./B.Tech. (Information Technology/Computer Science/E&T) or M.E./ M. Tech or equivalent, recognised by or under the regulations etc. of relevant regulatory body, obtained upon successful completion of studies (excluding studies in distance education mode) as a regularly enrolled student; in respect of degrees or diplomas awarded abroad, candidate should submit relevant details establishing equivalence with the above qualification, and the decision of the Selection Committee regarding the acceptability of such qualification as equivalent qualification shall be final.

Requisite skills & Experience:
11+ years of experience in managing large Telecom Infrastructure projects Implementation/deployment projects. The candidate must have worked on/assisted on at least 3 such projects. Age: Candidate should not be more than 40 years of age as on 1 Apr 2017.

Job Description:
** Exposure to large scale Telecom infrastructure projects.

** Strong skills in telecom, IT security, Communication standards over LAN/WAN, Networking equipment like Switches, Routers, Firewall and Access control systems on LAN and WAN.

** To manage implementation of identified projects based on a broad and detailed knowledge of current and emerging technologies and to provide technical input into projects undertaken by or impacting on organisation.

** Excellent knowledge of infrastructure technologies, architectures, standards and processes, and a good understanding of infrastructure engineering processes
** Ability to provide effective communication towards all stakeholders defining the path towards next steps and closure.
** Project technology and project management for Statewide eGovernance delivery project.

** To liaise with external suppliers and support agencies for the ongoing support and maintenance of relevant hardware and software; thereby ensuring that all work and changes are performed in such a way as to minimise all disruption to existing business use.

** Work closely with various teams and stakeholders to identify, develop, and implement opportunities to improve processes, products and/or services.
** Manage strategic initiatives or specific projects and ensure that operating project is running efficiently with optimized usage of organisations resources.

** Leadership and teamwork: Should have showed effective and active participation in a large team. Should have capability to independently manage assigned work as a member of a team.
** Analytical and conceptual ability: Demonstrated ability in analysing IT & Mobile development scenarios, defining key performance indicators (KPIs), and the strategy for achieving them.
** CCNA/CCNP/CCIE Certified

Key Skills:
** 10+ years of experience in Telecom Industry.
** Experience of planning and implementation of Large Networking projects.
** Experienced in leading access or routing based platforms required.
** Experience in handling large networking projects and development teams within a well-defined Project Life Cycle.
** Experience of handling large scale Optical Fiber infrastructure implementation and commissioning project.
** Experience in NMS/EMS, GPON Technologies or xDSL technologies. GPON knowledge/experience preferred.
** Experience in Layer2, Layer3, TCP/IP, Multicast, 802.1x and 802.1ag
** Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills
** Able to think outside of the box to address challenging opportunities from multiple angles
** Drives solutions to prevent future limitations and issues towards optimum deliveries/solutions
** Proven experience in handling multiple technologies.
** Leadership skills to coach/mentor/motivate associates.
** Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
** Strong leadership skills with ability to exhibit and instil confidence in team members.
** Customer (Government) Engagement – Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations; Respond promptly to customer needs; Respond to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments.
** Strong technical background, ability to understand the technical environment of various entities and if needed to suggest improvements.
** Good time management skills.
