Lab Technician Recruitment :

The following contractual positions are to be filled up in the project entitled “Study on estimation of malaria disease burden to support malaria elimination in Punjab” on purely temporary and co-terminus with the duration of the project.

Sl.No.1. Scientist ‘B’ (Non Medical) – One – On consolidated salary of Rs.52,200/- p.m. (including HRA)
Essential Qualifications: 1st Class Master’s degree in Life Sciences from a recognized university with 2 years experience in related field or 2nd class Master’s degree with Ph.D. in relevant subject from a recognized University. Age – up to 35 yrs.
Desirable: Post graduate with Ph.D. in Entomology specialization. Research Experience in the field of Vector born diseases and knowledge of computer applications and analytical skills etc.

Sl.No.2.Project Assistant–Three–On a consolidated salary of Rs.31,000/- p.m.
Essential Qualifications: Graduate in Science (Biology) subjects from a recognized university with three years work experience from a recognized institution or Master’s degree in Biology subject. Age – up to 30 yrs.
Desirable: Work experience in the field of Vector borne diseases and knowledge of computer applications

Sl.No. 3. Field Worker – Nine – (OBC-2, SC-1) On a consolidated salary of Rs.18,000/- p.m.
Essential Qualifications: 12th pass in Science subjects and two years Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or one year DMLT plus one year required experience in a recognized organization or two years field/laboratory experience*B.Sc. Degree shall be treated as three years experience. Age – up to 30 yrs.
Desirable: Knowledge of computer applications

Sl.No. 4. Lab. Technician – Three – On a consolidated salary of Rs.18,000/- p.m.
Essential Qualifications: 12th pass in Science subjects and two years Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or one year DMLT plus one year required experience in a recognized organization or two years field/laboratory experience*B.Sc. Degree shall be treated as three years experience. Age – up to 30 yrs.
Desirable: Science graduate with 5 years experience in laboratory and field work

Sl.No. 5. Data Entry Operator – One – On a consolidated salary of Rs.18,000/- p.m.
Essential qualifications: 12th pass in science stream from recognized board with DEEACC ‘A’ level from a recognized institute and/or 2 years experience in EDP work in Govt. /Autonomous /PSU or any other recognized organization. A speed test of not less than 1500 key depressions per hour through speed test on computer. Age – up to 28 yrs.
Desirable: Experience in scientific data handling. The candidate must be well versed with MS, Excel & MS power point.

Sl.No. 6. Multi Tasking Staff – One – On a consolidated salary of Rs.15,800/- p.m.
Essential Qualifications: High School or equivalent. Age – up to 25 yrs.
Desirable: Working experience in Research Organizations.

The selected candidates will be placed at project study sites in different districts of Punjab under the jurisdiction of NIMR field unit, Dhakoli (Zirakpur) in SAS Nagar Age limit – Relaxable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Govt. rules and also admissible for the candidates in deserving cases possessing experience of working in other research projects in Govt./ Autonomous/PSU etc.

Interested and eligible candidates may appeared for a walk in interview/test as per the schedule given below at above mentioned address along with Bio-data, one recent photograph, photocopies of the testimonials and also originals for verification. NOC from employer if employed will be required. No TA/DA will be paid for the interview.

5. For the post of Data Entry Operator – on 24.03.2017 at 9.30 A.M to 10.00 A.M.
6. For the post of Multi Tasking Staff – on 22.03.2017 at 02 P.M to 02.30 P.M.
*a written test will be conducted, if the numbers of eligible candidates are more than 30 for each post except Scientist ‘B’.
