KEAM :

Applications are invited for admission to the following Degree Courses in various Professional Colleges in the State for the year 2017-18.

A. Medical Courses: (i) MBBS (ii) BDS (iii) BHMS(Homoeo) (iv) BAMS(Ayurveda) (v) BSMS (Siddha) (vi) BUMS (Unani)
B. Allied Courses: (i) BSc. (Hons.) Agriculture (ii) BSc. (Hons.) Forestry (iii) Veterinary (BVSc. & AH) (iv) Fisheries (BFSc.)

C. Engineering Courses: B.Tech. [including B.Tech. (Agri. Engg.) & B.Tech. (Food Engg.&Tech.) Courses under the Kerala Agricultural University, B.Tech. (Dairy Technology) & B.Tech. (Food Technology) courses under the Kerala Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, B.Tech. (Food Science & Technology) course under the Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies]

D. Architecture Course: B.Arch. (No Entrance Examination. Admission is based on merit as assessed by equal weightage to NATA Score and marks/grades in the Qualifying Examination)

Note:
Candidates satisfying the eligibility conditions as laid down in the Prospectus and who seek admission to any or all of the above mentioned courses have to apply online through the website of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations cee.kerala.gov.in from 1 February 2017 to 27 February 2017 and should send the printout of the online submitted application along with supporting documents to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations on or before the last date and time.

Academic Qualification:
(a) Medical & Allied Courses:
(i)For MBBS, BDS, BSMS: Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala, or examinations recognised equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Biology/Biotechnology separately, and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology put together, are eligible.

In the absence of Biology, Biotechnology will be considered as a subject for academic eligibility.

(ii) For admission to BAMS/ BHMS courses:
Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala, or examinations recognised equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Biology separately, and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together, are eligible. Biotechnology will not be considered as a subject for academic eligibility.

(iii) For admission to BUMS course:
Candidates seeking admission to main Kamil-E-Tib-Wa-Jarahat (Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery-BUMS) course must have passed Intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent examination with 50% aggregate marks in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology and 50% marks in Biology separately and the candidate should have passed

(a) 10th standard with Urdu or Arabic or Persian language as a subject or clear the test of Urdu in the Entrance Examination conducted by the University or Board or Registered Society authorized by the Government to conduct such examination; or
(b) pre-Tib examination of one year duration.

(iv)For admission to B.Sc.(Hons.)Agri., B.Sc.(Hons) Forestry, BFSc courses: Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala, or examinations recognised equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Biology separately, and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together, are eligible. Biotechnology will not be considered as a subject for academic eligibility.

(v)For admission to BVSc. & AH Course: Candidates should have secured not less than 50% aggregate marks in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology for the qualifying examination, in addition to the condition as stipulated in Prospectus clause 6.2.1(a)(iv) as per regulation 5 of Minimum standards of Veterinary Education Degree Course (BVSc & AH) Regulation, 1993.

(vi)Eligibility of BSc. Degree holders: Candidates who have passed the BSc Degree (Three year course) examination with Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany or Biotechnology as Main, and any one or two of the above subjects as Subsidiaries, with 50% marks for Main & Subsidiaries taken together, subject to the condition that they have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala or examinations recognised as equivalent thereto with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects are eligible for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS and BSMS courses.

(b) Engineering Courses:
[Including B.Tech (Agri. Engg.) and B.Tech (Food Engg. & Tech) courses under the Kerala Agricultural University, B.Tech (Dairy Technology) and B.Tech (Food Technology) courses under Kerala Veterinary & Animal Sciences University and B.Tech (Food Science & Technology) course under Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies].

(i) Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Mathematics separately, and 50 % marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together are eligible for admission.

However candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with 45% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together are eligible for admission under Management Quota in Private Self Financing Engineering Colleges/Government Controlled Self Financing Engineering Colleges.

In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry, the marks obtained in Computer Science shall be considered. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry and Computer Science, the marks obtained in Biotechnology shall be considered.

In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry, Computer Science and Biotechnology, the marks obtained in Biology shall be considered. The marks as shown in the mark list of the Board of Examination obtained from the respective Higher Secondary Board shall be considered for academic eligibility.

Mode of submitting Online Application:
(a) Online submission of application through the website cee.kerala.gov.in is required to apply for admission to all the courses (MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BSMS, BUMS, Agriculture, Forestry, Veterinary, Fisheries, Engineering and Architecture).

Candidates should send only one application for admission to any or all of the courses in KEAM 2017. Detailed instructions and guidelines for submitting Online Application for KEAM 2017 is provided separately in the above website.

(b) Application Fee:
General candidates – Rs.800/-
SC candidates – Rs.400/-
ST candidates – No Application Fee

(c) Candidates can pay application fee in either of the two following methods:
(i) Online Payment: The fee may be paid by credit card/debit card/Internet Banking. On successful payment of fee, a Payment Confirmation Page will appear displaying the message ‘Transaction Successful’.

If the payment is unsuccessful, the message ‘Transaction Unsuccessful’ will be displayed. Due to communication failure, if the outcome of the payment attempt is not displayed, the ‘Payment’ tab in the candidate’s home page should be checked to see if it has turned green.

If not, the transaction was unsuccessful and the payment needs to be made again and ensure that it’s successful. If the amount was debited from the account of the candidate for an unsuccessful transaction, the debited amount will be reverted to that account within 5-7 working days.

Last date and time for receipt of the Printout of the Application:
The Printout of the Application and other relevant documents, to be submitted with the Application, are to be enclosed and sent in an A4 sized envelope, so as to reach Office of the

before 5 p.m. on 28.02.2017 (Tuesday), by Hand Delivery/Registered Post/Speed Post. Completed Applications will be received in the Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations on holidays also.
