UPCATET :

In pursuance of the provisions of clause (3) of Article 348 of the Constitution of India, the Governor is pleased to order the publication of the following English translation of the Uttar Pradesh Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam, 2006 as passed by the Uttar Pradesh Legislature and assented to by the Governor on May 23, 2006.

As per provision of the Uttar Pradesh Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya (Dwitiya Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 2006 (Uttar Pradesh Adhiniyam Sankhya 16 of 2006) as passed by the Uttar Pradesh Legislature and assented to by the Governor on May 23, 2006.

The Registrar, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture & Technology Meerut would organise the Combined Entrance Examination- 2017 on rotation for admission in all the programmes of the four Agriculture universities.

NOTE: Only Uttar Pradesh State Domicile candidates are eligible for appearing in all courses except MBA (Agri. Business) through Combined Agriculture and Technology Entrance Test-2017.

Mode of Admission:
(A) Under Graduate Programme:
There shall be one Common Entrance Examination for admission to all Under Graduate Programmes. It shall be of three hours duration and shall consist of 200 questions carrying 600 marks and would be of objective type with multiple choice.

The bilingual question paper in English and Hindi will be supplied. There will be four groups of paper as detailed below :
(i) PCB (Code-01) The candidates who have passed/appeared in 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology stream shall have question paper consisting of composition of questions as follows :
A. General studies 20 questions
B. Physics 50 questions
C. Chemistry 50 questions
D. Biology 80 questions
The candidates opting for this group can seek admission for degree course in Agriculture, Fisheries, Horticulture, Home Science, Forestry, Veterinary Science and B.Tech. (Biotechnology).

(ii) PCM (Code-02) The candidates who have passed/ appeared in 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics stream shall have question paper consisting of composition of questions as follows :
A. General studies 20 questions
B. Physics 50 questions
C. Chemistry 50 questions
D. Mathematics 80 questions
The candidates opting for this group can seek admission for the degree course in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Home Science and B.Tech. various stream.

COUNSELLING:
1. The qualified candidates, as per merit, shall be called for counselling on a specified date and time for consideration to admission in various Undergraduate, Master’s and Ph.D. Programmes. The candidate will not be informed by post. The counselling letter should be downloaded from the website upcatet.org.

2. No communication regarding the result of the U.P. Combined Agriculture & Technology Entrance Test– 2017 will be entertained.

3. The candidate should report at the counselling place as per schedule given in counselling letter for checking of relevant documents and depositing prescribed fee. Those candidates who do not turnup at their call will be given a chance at the end of the day.
They can claim only the Programmes in which seats are available at that time and as per their qualifications/groups.

4. The candidates cominzg for personal appearance should bring along with them the following documents (in five sets) for checking and depositing before counselling.
1. The candidate is required to provide the downloaded copy of the online application form duly attested by the competent authority (Registrar/Principal/Dean) of last attended Institution college.

2. Attested photocopies of High School Certificate and Marks-sheet along with the originals.
3. Attested photocopies of Intermediate Certificate and Marks-sheet along with the originals.
4. Attested photocopies of Marks-sheet and Certificate of Bachelor and Master Degree qualification that he/she may possess along with the originals.
5. Domicile Certificate of Uttar Pradesh State issued by the competent authority.
6. Sport Weightage Certificate in original.
7. Character and Conduct Certificate in original from the Head of the Institution last attended.
8. Five-passport size photographs with name and Roll Number written on the back.
9. Original copy of OBC category certificate issued after 31.3.2017 or valid on counselling date.
10. An affidavit accounting for discontinuity of more than three months after leaving the Institution last attended.
11. T.C. (Transfer Certificate)/Migration in original.

12. If any candidate fails to deposit counselling fee and an Advance Institution fee and original certificates, the admission would not be granted and he/she would forfeit his/her claim for admission.

13. At the time of Counselling candidates have to bring a Bank Draft, of Rs. 500/- for counselling fee and Rs. 5000/- for initiation fee drawn in favour of Comptroller Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture & Technology, Meerut payable at S.B.I. SVBP branch, Meerut (code No. 10653).
