Junior Research Fellow Recruitment :

Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar an autonomous Institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from Indian Nationals to join in the following position in DST- (SERB) sponsored project “Determine the mechanism and therapeutic potential of ZKSCAN3-mediated Autophagy”

Junior Research Fellow: 01 No
Fellowship: Rs. 25,000 per month+ @ 20% HRA

Eligibility and Selection :
Candidates holding Master’s degree with 60% aggregate or more (with NET (JRF/LS), GATE qualified will be preferred) in the subjects of Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Molecular Biology or any other branches of Life sciences are eligible to apply.

Preference will be given to candidates with research experience in molecular biology and Cell biology techniques.

The position of JRF is not leading to Ph.D, however person joining as a JRF can compete for selection in ILS Ph.D. programme after fulfilling all necessary requirements.

As the title suggests, the project involves understanding the mechanisms of autophagy regulation. For more details, please visit lab website autophagylab.weebly.com/. And also may read the publication: Chauhan, S., et al., (2013). ZKSCAN3 Is a Master Transcriptional Repressor of Autophagy.

Initial appointment will be for one year, extendable up to three years or until termination of the project whichever is earlier. The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

The decision of the Director regarding selection of candidates will be final and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
