Line Supervisor/Engineer Recruitment :

The institute is currently accepting application from interested candidates for the post of Line Supervisor / Engineer – Surface Mount Technology/Stores/Facility (ESDM Project) initially for six months on contractual basis.

These positions are for the Maker Village in KINFRA Hi-Tech Innovation Zone in Kalamassery, Cochin. This is South India’s first and most comprehensive Electronics Incubator, and is funded by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, MeitY, Govt of India, and the IT Department, Govt of Kerala.

Post: Line Supervisor / Engineer – Surface Mount Technology/Stores/Facility
Educational Qualification: Diploma Holder (3 years) in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical Engineering from reputed and recognized Institution /DTE.

a) 8 to 10 years of experience in a reputed Electronics manufacturing factory in India or aboard.
b) Should have worked on full SMT line consisting of solder cream printer, high speed pick and place, 10 zone reflow oven, link conveyors etc.

c)Working Experience on reputed SMT equipment from vendors like Fuji, Panasonic, Siemens, Mydata or similar brands. For printer exposure to makes like DEK, MPM, Panasonic or similar makes. Reflow ovens from Heller, Vitronics, BTU, Electrovert, JT etc.

d)Ability to program and set up solder cream printers with automatic and manual adjustments. Ability to investigate and fix solder cream printing problems. Exposure to Solder paste inspection systems preferred.

e) Off line programming of SMT pick and place machine. Ability to set up and load programs for production. Experience in working with programming tools like Flexa or similar utilities. Ability to fine-tune programs in the machine for optimum component placement.

Ability to select nozzles based on components, ability to investigate and correct placement issues including post reflow issues. Should have handled passives from 0201 to large quad packs / BGAs including micro BGAs. Ability to correct minor issues on feeders.

f) Ability to develop soldering profiles for different types and sizes of PCBs. Familiar with RoHS and non RoHS processes. Should have handled large reflow ovens with up to 10 heating + cooling zones. Familiar with setting up of reflow ovens and link conveyors.

g) Should have handled Oven rider and Profiling jigs. Ability to judge proper thermo-couple locations for getting optimum reflow profiles.
h) Day to day management of production line with minimum down time as well as stores for components.
i) Collection of production statistics including through puts, material consumption, yields.
j) Ability to guide operators on minor reworks and component replacements.
k) Experience in using advanced rework stations with duel vision camera, programming reflow profiles, BGA rework etc.
l) Visual inspection skills and ability interpret and correct soldering and placement issues.
m) Ability to control and implement Engineering changes and keeping tractability in respect of component lots, product serial numbers, ECNs etc.
n) Solder cream management and shelf life controls.
o) Understand environmental and ESD issues that affect production and products.
p) General supervision of facility

Specialized skill preferred:
a. Experience on AOI (Automatic Optical Inspection) systems.
b. Experience use of 2D and 3D X ray inspection systems.

Remuneration: Rs.50, 000/-(consolidated)
