I. (1) Technical Assistant (Zoology) – 3 posts (UR-1; OBC-1; ST-1) Application Form
Educational Qualification :
Essential :
(i) Three years Bachelor Degree in Zoology from a recognized University
(ii) One year Certificate / Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) or one year experience in the laboratory/field in the lower scale in Govt. Department/Institution.
Age limit : Not exceeding 30 years on the last date of receipt of application, i.e. 20.02.2017
(2) Technical Assistant (Microbiology) – 1 post (UR) Application Form
Educational Qualification :
Essential :
(i) Three years Bachelor Degree in Microbiology from a recognized University
(ii) One year Certificate / Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) or one year experience in microbiology/molecular biology/ bio-chemistry/toxicology/biotechnology in the lower scale in Govt. Department/Institution.
Age limit : Not exceeding 30 years on the last date of receipt of application, i.e. 20.02.2017
(3) Technical Assistant (Sociology) – 1 post (UR) Application Form
Educational Qualification :
Essential :
(i) Three years Bachelor Degree in Sociology from a recognized University
(ii) Diploma/Certificate course in Sociology or one year experience in community based surveys and quantitative & qualitative data collection in the lower scale in the Govt. Department/Institution

II. Technician ‘C’ – 4 posts (UR-3, ST-1) Application Form
Educational Qualification :
Essential : 12th pass with biological science subject or equivalent from a recognized board with one year Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT)/Sanitation/Public Health Science from Govt. recognized Organizations/ Institutes/Medical Colleges, and one year experience in Medical Laboratory Technology/Public Health/Sanitation in a recognized Institute
OR
12th pass with biological science subject with two years Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT)/ Sanitation/Public Health Science
Age limit : Not exceeding 30 years on the last date of receipt of application, i.e. 20.02.2017
III. Stenographer – 1 post (UR) Application Form
Educational Qualification :
Essential :
(i) 10th/Matriculation pass or its equivalent examination
(ii) 80 w.p.m speed in English shorthand
(iii) 45 w.p.m in English typewriting on manual typewriter (or) typing speed of 45 words per minute on computer (45 words per minute correspond to 13500 key depressions for each word)
Age limit : Not exceeding 25 years on the last date of receipt of application, i.e. 20.02.2017. Departmental candidates will also be eligible to compete and there will be no age restriction in that case
IV. (1) Technician ‘A’ (Engineering Support) (Instrument Mechanic) – 1 post (UR)
Educational Qualification :
Essential : 10th /Matric pass or equivalent with ITI or National Trade Certificate (NTC) issued by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) and successful completion of All India Trade Test (ATS) in Instrument Mechanic from Govt. recognized Board or Institute ? Nature of duties : To assist in the maintenance of laboratory/office instruments and equipments of the Centre
Age limit : Not exceeding 28 years on the last date of receipt of application, i.e. 20.02.2017
(2) Technician ‘A’ (Engineering Support) (Information Technology) – 1 post (UR)
Educational Qualification :
Essential : 10th /Matric pass or equivalent with ITI or National Trade Certificate (NTC) issued by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) and successful completion of All India Trade Test (ATS) in Information Technology from Govt. recognized Board or Institute
Age limit : Not exceeding 28 years on the last date of receipt of application, i.e. 20.02.2017
(3) Technician ‘A’ (Engineering Support) (Electrician) – 1 post (UR)
Educational Qualification :
Essential : 10th /Matric pass or equivalent with ITI or National Trade Certificate (NTC) issued by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) and successful completion of All India Trade Test (ATS) in Electrical from Govt. recognized Board or Institute
Age limit : Not exceeding 28 years on the last date of receipt of application, i.e. 20.02.2017
(4) Technician ‘A’ (Engineering Support) (Computer hardware & network maintenance) – 1 post (OBC)
Educational Qualification :
Essential : 10th /Matric pass or equivalent with ITI or National Trade Certificate (NTC) issued by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) and successful completion of All India Trade Test (ATS) in computer hardware & networking from Govt. recognized Board or Institute
Nature of duties : Assistance in installation, maintenance of computer hardware & network and troubleshootings.
Age limit : Not exceeding 28 years on the last date of receipt of application, i.e. 20.02.2017
(5) Technician ‘A’ (Engineering Support) (Refrigeration) – 1 post (SC)
Educational Qualification :
Essential : 10th /Matric pass or equivalent with ITI or National Trade Certificate (NTC) issued by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) and successful completion of All India Trade Test (ATS) in Refrigeration from Govt. recognized Board or Institute
Age limit : Not exceeding 28 years on the last date of receipt of application, i.e. 20.02.2017
V. Technician ‘A’ – 13 posts (UR-7, OBC-3, SC-2, ST-1)
Educational Qualification :
Essential : 10th or equivalent from a recognized board with one year certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology from a Govt. recognized Institute (or) one year laboratory/field/clinical experience of working in a Govt. Laboratory/Govt. Recognized Institution
Age limit : Not exceeding 28 years on the last date of receipt of application, i.e. 20.02.2017
VI. Lower Division Clerk – 2 posts (ST-1, PwD-1*) * Reserved for person with Hearing Impairment
Educational Qualification :
Essential :
(i) 12th pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University
(ii) A typing speed of 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi on manual typewriter (or) a typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on computer (35 words per minute and 30 words per minute correspond to 10500 KDPH/9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word)
Age limit : Not exceeding 27 years on the last date of receipt of application, i.e. 20.02.2017
VII. Multi-Tasking Staff – 10 posts (UR-4, OBC-2, SC-1, ST-1, Ex-servicemen-1, PwD-1*) * Reserved for Visually Handicapped (VH) or Partially Blind (PB)
Educational Qualification :
Essential : Pass in Matriculation/High School/10th Standard or equivalent from a recognized board
Age : Between 18 to 25 years on the last date of receipt of application, i.e. 20.02.2017
Candidates fulfilling the above qualifications and willing to apply for the post may download the application form, from the VCRC website (vcrc.res.in) and submit the same on or before 20.02.2017 to “The Director, Vector Control Research Centre, Medical Complex, Indira Nagar, Puducherry – 605 006.”
A Demand Draft for ` 300/- (Rupees three hundred only) drawn in favour of “The Director, Vector Control Research Centre, Puducherry” payable at Puducherry being the application fee, should be enclosed along with the application. SC/ST, PwD and Women candidates are exempted from payment of application fee. The Council’s employees are not exempted from payment of application fee.
Self attested copies of certificates in proof of Date of birth, Educational qualification (Certificate/ Statement of marks), Disability certificate (PwD), Community certificate (SC/ST/OBC), Service certificate (Ex-Servicemen) must be enclosed with the application.
Candidates working in Government Departments should send their applications through proper channel or should enclose NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE along with the application.
