The Handloom Export Promotion Council, Chennai invites application for one post of Trade Facilitation Officer (North East) on contract basis for its help desk at Guwahati.

Essential Qualification:
-Diploma / Degree in Textiles / Handloom / Fashion Design from any Govt. recognized institution.

Preference:
-To persons who belong to North Eastern States / have done their qualifying education in North East.
-Experience of 1 -2 years in Textiles.

Job Description:
Help desk is being set up to provide linkage for North East Handloom Products to HEPC Member Exporters and Global export market.

Towards this, Trade Facilitation Officer will be expected to liaise and provide inputs to Handloom Weavers & Clusters in North East Region on Designs suitable for Global Market.

She / He will also be expected to provide necessary technical support to clusters in order to facilitate clusters produce commercially acceptable product range. Job will involve travel among clusters in all North Eastern States.

Remuneration:
Rs.30,000/- (consolidated) + Travel allowance as per Council rules, while on tour.
